On the ante-eve of Santa Lucia I arrived in Trento and at the Due Spade Inn I disembarked. I had an innkeeper of good air, affable and appropriately discreet and if he did not fear his wife, he would be a better companion than he is.
Thus, in an anonymous document, someone told of his arrival at the Osteria at Le Due Spade during the Council of Trento.
It was the year 1545.
Established to welcome pilgrims and the nobles attending the Council, the historic Osteria a Le Due Spade has never ceased offering refreshment to wayfarers and visitors, preserving the timeless charm of its past, even after almost five centuries.
